How Can We Help?

Handwash Care

  • Remove loose dirt / mud from outsole, midsole and upper of the shoe very gently using a soft bristle brush. A little pressure on the outsole to remove stubborn stains is okay.
  • Mix warm water with a small amount of mild laundry detergent or washing liquid.
  • Dilute the washing liquid soap with plenty of water. On certain upper materials, using a high concentration of washing-up liquid can cause discolouration. Always do a patch test on small area to check on damage.
  • Remove laces wherever possible and wash them by hand in a bowl of washing liquid.
  • If your shoes have removable insole, you can wash them separately using the same mild washing liquid.
  • Allow several hours to let them dry before re-lacing your shoes and do not put them in the dryer.

Machine Wash Care

Gentle washing is key in entrusting your favourite pair of Skechers to your washing machine.

  • Before you toss your shoes in the washing machine, ensure that you have read the cleaning and care instructions on the shoe box. See if they are safe to be washed in a washing machine.
  • Separate laces, insoles, and any other removable to ensure every part of your shoes gets cleaned. Shake off any debris and scrub at the crevices like the eyelets using a small brush. Stubborn dirt can be washed off under the tap.
  • Place your shoes in a mesh bag to prevent it from hitting against the machine drum. Add a few old towels to balance the machine’s load. Ensure that the towels are colourfast. Colour bleeding towels can stain and ruin your shoes.
  • Set the machine on a gentle wash cycle using cold water. Select a slow or no spin setting. Use a liquid laundry detergent as powdered laundry detergent can leave behind residue particles on your shoes.
  •  Always use a cool setting. Don’t expose your shoes to high heat (Dryer) to prevent shrinkage and damage.
  • When drying, only air-dry. Do not place your shoes under the sun to dry since the harsh heat could fade the colours. Instead, dry them in a shaded area.
  • Skechers have a 90 day’s policy from date of purchase against any manufacturing defects.
  • Defects that are caused due to improper usage, fit, unauthorized repairs, negligence on storage of product, failure to use the product for its intended purpose, external damages & not following wash care instructions are not covered under manufacturing defect.

Nylon/Mesh Shoes:

Most non-leather casual shoes can be safely machine washed in laundry bags on the gentle cycle and air-dried. Do not place shoes in the dryer. Apply a protectant to safeguard the shoes from water and stains. For shoes with Skechers Memory Foam™ insoles, allow shoes and insoles to air dry for 10 to 12 hours to ensure the insoles are fully dry. Mix a small amount of laundry detergent or mild soap in a bowl with lukewarm water. Avoid using hot water, as it could affect the dye of the shoes. It's also best not to use any harsh chemicals or bleach.

Leather Shoes:

Apply a protectant such as Skechers water proofer spray to protect the shoes from water and stains before wearing in wet conditions. Use a leather cleaning lotion or spray such as Skechers athletic cleanser to clean. Apply leather lotion or oil periodically to keep the leather supple. Do not machine wash leather shoes.

Suede or Nubuck Shoes:

Apply a protectant such as Skechers Water Proofer Spray to protect the shoes from water and stains before wearing in wet conditions. Use a suede/nubuck cleaning product to clean shoes. Brush with a suede brush for best results. Do not machine wash suede or nubuck shoes.

Light-Up Shoes:

Machine washing light-up shoes is not advised as it may damage the lights. Clean with mild soap, warm water, and a soft cloth.

For keeping shoes fresh, apply a deodorizing spray such as Skechers Odor eliminator spray to keep shoes fresh and odour-free.
